From a congested grid to a battery that pays for itself.

Censo helps businesses go green with solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers, among other solutions. With Slimme Sturing, their smart energy management service, businesses use that energy more efficiently and can even earn money from it. But that story is hard to tell, especially in a client meeting. So Censo asked us for a short explainer video for their website and for their account managers’ sales conversations.

How do you show a business owner, in a single video, that their battery can also make money?

Insight

People only understand a system once they see what it does.

Idea

We follow one business through an entire day. It starts with a company held back by grid congestion and ends with a battery that charges, kicks in and feeds power back to the grid at exactly the right moment. You see smart energy management at work, without needing to understand the technology.

Execution

We created a ninety-second animation in an isometric style, a small world seen at an angle from above. The business expands with an extra building, solar panels and EV chargers, and its energy use spikes. A battery absorbs that peak. It charges when electricity is cheap and sells power back to the grid when that pays off.

The visuals are mostly black and white. We only use color where the story is, like the battery, the moving flow of energy and the energy price meter. Censo uses the video on LinkedIn, on its website and in client meetings.
