A clear ambtion
Basic Fit believes sport and data belong together.
A workout on a gym bike shouldn't be a black box. Members want to see, in the moment, what their effort actually adds up to, and be able to look back on it afterwards.

Basic-Fit members, on the bike
livewall and Basic-Fit started working together on an all-in mobile app. A member pairs it with a bike over Bluetooth, picks a workout type and sees live data.

A clear ambtion
Basic Fit believes sport and data belong together.
A workout on a gym bike shouldn't be a black box. Members want to see, in the moment, what their effort actually adds up to, and be able to look back on it afterwards.

The concept
The all-in app connects to a bike over Bluetooth, lets the member select a workout type, and shows live data while cycling: power generated, calories burned, and distance covered. All of that data is saved in the app, so members can view and compare their performance later. A personal profile lets members see their cycling history broken down by week, month or year.
Making it work
Development started with an MVP, allowing the app to be presented, adjusted and rolled out quickly. From there, work continued in separate iterations, with a new update roughly every four to eight weeks, keeping the app in constant, incremental development. The live progress graphs presented a specific technical challenge: showing a live overview of performance without stutter while data keeps loading in.
