A clear ambition

Built to help new employees experience the Efteling employer brand before they start working in the park.

Efteling is known for delivering a 9+ experience to every visitor. In its 2030 vision, that same standard applies to Eftelingers: everyone who works in the park. The goal was to make the first interaction with the organisation as smooth and thoughtful as the guest experience, while keeping internal processes clear and manageable.

The concept

The pre-boarding system is built around 't Kompas. The platform guides new employees through the organisation, their role, and future opportunities. Brand experience and practical onboarding are combined in one system, so culture and clarity grow together from the start.

Making it work

’t Kompas is an interactive, web-based tool that introduces new employees to Efteling’s history, values and working environment. Interactive content explains career paths, internal processes and practical details such as language badges.

The platform is connected to AFAS, allowing information to flow directly into back-office systems. This reduces manual work while ensuring everything is prepared before the first working day.
